Infrared Heating Confirmation - Included with Every House Inspection

Inspector will use infrared camera to confirm the operation of heat systems. This is particularly useful for in-floor radiant heating systems which cannot be confirmed visually without the aid of this device.


Basic Infrared Inspection - $50 Add-On to Home Inspection

Inspector will review your main electrical distribution panel and sub-panels, main entrances to premises, a sample of electrical outlets and switches, and a scan of the hot water and heating system in the utility room to confirm proper system operations. This scan will add 15-20 minutes to your inspection and requires the use of specialized equipment.


Full Infrared Inspection - $150 Add-On to Home Inspection

In addition to the basic inspection, the inspector will do a scan of the home including sampling the interior of each room and the building envelope. A full thermal camera scan will add 30-60 minutes to your inspection time and requires the use of specialized equipment.

While our inspectors are highly trained to identify building defects with the naked eye, there are many conditions that can only be seen with enhanced tools and one of the best of these tools is a forward looking infrared camera (FLIR) as it is non-invasive and provides a new dimension of knowledge to the inspector to help you understand your building.


Infrared inspections can help your inspector identify moisture seepage issues, airflow related issues (e.g. heat loss), electrical overheating issues, poor quality construction, and many more building related issues.
